Women Executive/Business Owner Exec-U-Link Meetings
An Exec-U-Link truly symbolizes the saying that "the whole is greater than its
parts." The power and creativity that flow among its members can only be
appreciated by those who experience it firsthand.
The Women Executive/Business Owner (WEBO) links high-level corporate executives and successful women business owners together to share advice, experience, expertise, and best practices. WEBO is comprised of approximately 12 carefully selected energetic and self-motivated members in noncompeting fields who possess:
Creativity and innovation
Drive and persistence
Trend setting ideas and actions
A high level of credibility/visibility in their professions
Shared interest in a number of issues.
The three WEBO meetings per year begin on Thursday evening with relaxing cocktails and gourmet cuisine. The full day agenda on Friday is tailored to specific needs of the members and results in high energy discussions of best practices and business issues, including but not limited to:
Recruiting, retaining, mentoring and promoting employees
Growing revenue and profits
Marketing products and services
Motivating employees in tough times
Developing an employee-friendly workplace
Downsizing, combining divisions and restructuring
The joys and pains of expansion
Web sites and database development and maintenance
Working on your business rather than in it
Having a life!
This unique forum focuses on helping its members maximize opportunities by offering solutions to their common problems and nurturing mutual support. Agendas are set in advance using members' input to choose the topics of discussion most likely to help them individually and as a group. Email communication continues between meetings to deal with "hot issues," exchange contacts and encourage collaboration. WEBO has been instrumental in encouraging its members to create mutually beneficial relationship that have resulted in the formation of many corporate endeavors and joint projects producing positive bottom-line programs.
The annual investment of $3,500 is for the time Advisory Link spends carefully selecting each member, planning and facilitating the meetings and communicating with the group throughout the year as well, as for the materials and AV equipment, meeting room fees, food and drink expenses.
